O Holy Night: Fact #3

Check out the third fact about my upcoming Christmas picture book, O Holy Night!
The third fact about O Holy Night: A Modern Christmas Carol, written and illustrated by Alleanna Harris and published by Bloomsbury Books.

Hiii. Welcome back to my series where I share cool facts about my upcoming author-illustrator picture book with Bloomsbury Books, O Holy Night: A Modern Christmas Carol, up until its pub day on September 22, 2026. You can find the first fact here and the second fact here.

The third fact is one that’s close to my heart. It has to do with the dedication.

Check it out below:

O HOLY NIGHT FACT #3:

O Holy Night is dedicated to my late grandmother, Me-Me.

Young Alleanna takes a nap while sitting on her grandma Me-Me's lap.
Little me asleep on my Me-Me's lap.

It reads: To my Me-Me, my favorite Christmas baby

Me-Me was my mom's mom and she was the absolute best. If you looked up the definition of "hands-on, devoted grandmother" in the dictionary, her picture would be there. She passed away at the end of my last year of college, so she never got to see me illustrate professionally. Me-Me's birthday was also on Christmas, so dedicating O Holy Night to her felt like the perfect way to honor her.

Looking forward to this Christmas,
Alleanna
