Hey there! Welcome back to my series of facts about my upcoming debut author-illustrator picture book, O Holy Night: A Modern Christmas Carol, which is coming out on September 22nd. Fact number ten is a small and kind of obvious fact. Check it out below:

O HOLY NIGHT: FACT #10

There’s a red and green motif throughout the book!

O Holy Night is a Christmas book, so it only made sense to make red and green a common visual thread throughout the book. It was fun to figure out ways to add red and green in all of the illustrations, some instances more subtle than the others. There’s one particular illustration in the book that’s my favorite in terms of the motif, but I can’t share it here. (I can only share three interior illustrations ahead of pub day. Sorry.)
