Who are you? I'm Alleanna. Hello.
Where are you from? Philly made, South Jersey raised.
How do you pronounce your name? al-lee-AH-na. To remember the spelling, think "double L, double N."
Where did you go to college? I started off my college career at Temple University. I was in their Honors Program and I was an Architecture major at their art school, Tyler School of Art. Even though it was an amazing program and a great school, I wanted to do something different. I ended up transferring to The University of the Arts in the spring semester of my freshman year. I changed my major to Animation, and I graduated from UArts with honors in 2015.
Are you represented by an illustration agency? Yes! I'm represented by Alex Gehringer at The Bright Agency for publishing.
What kind of work do you do as an illustrator? I illustrate children's picture books (kidlit), graphic novels, chapter books, middle grade novel covers, magazine covers, editorial, and commercial (advertisements and gift cards).
What picture books have you illustrated? I've illustrated sixteen picture books. You can see them here.
What software/program do you use? For client work, I use Adobe Photoshop with my Wacom Cintiq and my MacBook Pro. For personal work, I use Procreate with an Apple Pencil on my iPad Pro.
